CUO is dedicated to welcoming driven, passionate students who are ready to shape their futures. Our admission requirements are designed to ensure that every student is prepared for academic success and personal growth. Whether you are applying for undergraduate, graduate, or professional programs, we provide clear and comprehensive criteria to guide your journey. Explore the detailed requirements below and take the first step toward unlocking your full potential.
Applicants for undergraduate programs must have completed a recognized high school diploma or an equivalent qualification (such as a GED). Transcripts should reflect consistent academic performance and a commitment to learning.
All applicants must submit official transcripts from previously attended institutions. Transcripts must be sent directly from the institution to CUO and should include detailed course information, grades, and degree conferral (if applicable).
Undergraduate applicants are generally expected to have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, while graduate applicants should demonstrate a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Certain competitive programs may have higher GPA expectations.
While CUO is test-optional for many programs, some specialized or competitive programs may require SAT, ACT, GRE, or GMAT scores. Check specific program details to determine if scores are necessary for your application.
Applicants must submit a personal statement (for undergraduate programs) or a statement of purpose (for graduate programs). This essay should highlight your academic goals, career aspirations, and why you wish to study at CUO.
Typically, two to three letters of recommendation are required from teachers, professors, employers, or mentors. Recommendations should speak to your academic abilities, leadership qualities, and potential for success.
Graduate and professional applicants should provide a detailed resume or CV outlining academic achievements, professional experience, extracurricular involvement, and relevant skills.
International students whose primary language is not English must submit TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent test scores to demonstrate English proficiency. Minimum score requirements vary by program.
Some programs may require a formal interview as part of the admissions evaluation. This may be conducted virtually or in person and offers an opportunity for applicants to discuss their goals and qualifications.
Applicants to design, arts, or media programs may be required to submit a professional portfolio showcasing previous work. Portfolio guidelines and requirements will be provided by the department.
All applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee at the time of submission. CUO offers fee waivers for eligible students; applicants should inquire about qualifications for a waiver if needed.
